Tsuyu Asui, also known as Rainy Season Hero: Froppy, is an anime character from My Hero Academia.
An overly sincere frog-like girl in Class 1-A. Her Quirk Frog (蛙, Kaeru) gives her abilities such as enhanced swimming and jumping, sticking to and climbing up walls, and a long prehensile tongue.
The My Hero Academia manga and anime series features a vast world with an extensive cast of characters created by Kōhei Horikoshi.
The series takes place in a fictional world where more than 80% of the Earth’s population possesses some form of superhuman ability, commonly referred to as a “Quirk”.
The advent of these abilities has given rise to professional heroes and the threat of villains.
The series has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected into 30 tankōbon volumes as of April 2021.
Both the manga and anime adaptations have received an overwhelmingly positive response from both critics and audiences.
They are considered one of the best of the 2010s, winning several awards, including the 2019 Harvey Award for Best Manga. As of April 2021, the manga has over 50 million copies in circulation worldwide.
