Angel Reese Makes a Young Fan’s Night by Gifting Shoes After Historic WNBA All-Star Game
Bollywood Fever: Angel Reese made a young fan’s night on Saturday by giving away her shoes following the WNBA All-Star Game. Reese, a rookie sensation for the Chicago Sky, left a lasting impression in her first All-Star Game appearance, notching a historic double-double as the WNBA squad upset Team USA.
Affectionately known as the ‘Bayou Barbie,’ Reese took time after the game to stop for a young fan who was holding a special poster decorated with Reese’s candies, a playful nod to Reese’s last name. Although she didn’t accept the girl’s chocolate, Reese did something even better—she slipped off her shoes, signed them, and handed them to the delighted supporter.

The young fan beamed with joy, and a nearby woman repeatedly shouted, “Thank you, Angel!” capturing the heartfelt moment.
Reese’s performance on the court was equally memorable. She became the first rookie in WNBA All-Star Game history to record a double-double, scoring 12 points and securing a game-high 11 rebounds. Notably, she teamed up with on-court rival Caitlin Clark, who also shone for the WNBA All-Stars with 10 assists.
Before the game, the Chicago forward joked about her collaboration with Clark, telling ESPN, “We haven’t had a talk yet, but obviously everybody can cheer for us both for one day. It’s going to be cool. I’m excited; this is going to be the first of many. We’re going to be on All-Star teams together in the future, Olympic teams together (holds up crossed fingers) in the future too. I’m just excited to be here in this moment. I’m happy.”
Reese’s impact goes beyond her impressive stats and on-court achievements. Her genuine interaction with fans and sportsmanship sets her apart as a role model for young athletes. This All-Star Game was just the beginning for Reese, who promises an exciting future both on and off the court.
