Anna Delvey and DWTS Partner Ezra Sosa Share a Unique Connection Ahead of Their Ballroom Debut

Anna Delvey and Dancing With the Stars partner Ezra Sosa reveal a special connection, with JoJo Siwa’s influence, as they prepare for the reality dance competition.

Bollywood Fever: Anna Delvey (born Anna Sorokin) and her Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) partner, Ezra Sosa, have already formed a special bond even before stepping into the ballroom.

Delvey, 33, who has only watched season 30 of the popular reality dance competition, coincidentally saw Sosa’s close friend JoJo Siwa compete on the show with pro Jenna Johnson. Siwa and Johnson finished as runners-up, with Sosa later giving Siwa dance lessons.

Sosa, 23, shared his excitement about being paired with Delvey in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on September 4. “I mean, I didn’t tell [JoJo that I’d be a pro this year]. And when I did tell her, she didn’t believe me, like, such a good friend, wow,” he joked. Siwa’s mother, who runs a rhinestone company, even offered rhinestones for Delvey’s ankle monitor, which Delvey must wear while she remains under house arrest.

Delvey’s only exposure to Dancing With the Stars happened to be while she was in jail. The socialite was convicted in May 2019 on charges of grand larceny and theft and served time in prison.

She was released on parole in February 2021 and is currently serving out her sentence on house arrest in New York City. However, Delvey received permission to participate in DWTS while wearing an ankle monitor.

The pair has been working well together in rehearsals, with Sosa praising Delvey’s dry sense of humor. “My first impression of Anna [was] she was super sweet,” he shared. “She has a really dry sense of humor, which is, like, my personal favorite.”

Sosa is eager to help Delvey “show America who she really is” beyond the headlines and the portrayal of her life in the Netflix series Inventing Anna, produced by Shonda Rhimes.

As the competition approaches, Sosa is ready to help Delvey shine, joking about how her ankle monitor might make her leg “super buffed” if they perform dances like the jive.

Their unique connection and determination set the stage for what promises to be a memorable Dancing With the Stars journey.
