Aurora Man Arrested for Possessing Thousands of Child Porn Images on Electronic Devices
Aurora police have arrested Aaron Marshall Mocalkins, 27, suspected of possessing thousands of child porn images. He faces multiple felony charges and is held on a $100,000 bond.
BollywoodFever: Aurora police have arrested a 27-year-old man, Aaron Marshall Mocalkins, who is suspected of having thousands of child porn images on his electronic devices. Authorities allege Mocalkins attempted to prevent investigators from accessing the content by refusing to disclose the passcodes to his devices.

The Aurora Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit took Mocalkins into custody on September 24. He is facing potential felony charges, including one count of sexual assault of a child, one count of unlawful sexual contact of a child, 12 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of invasion of privacy of a child for sexual gratification, and two counts of internet sexual exploitation of a child.
In addition to these serious felony charges, Mocalkins is also facing three misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals. The charges have not yet been officially filed by the Arapahoe County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation began in March 2022 when detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The tip pointed to a user on the social media app Kik who was allegedly in possession of child sexual abuse material. The investigation traced back to Mocalkins, who refused to cooperate with authorities by withholding access to his devices.
Despite his refusal, investigators, with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations, were able to bypass his security settings and gain access to the electronic data. Upon review, authorities discovered thousands of images and videos containing child sexual abuse material.
Law enforcement partners from Colorado Springs and El Paso County assisted Aurora police in apprehending Mocalkins. He is currently being held at the Arapahoe County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 17.
