Colorado Funeral Home Owners Ordered to Pay $950 Million
Colorado funeral home owners Jon and Carie Hallford, who allegedly stored 190 decaying bodies and sent fake ashes to families, have been ordered to pay $950 million in a symbolic civil case judgment.
Bollywood Fever: The owners of Return to Nature Funeral Home in Colorado, Jon and Carie Hallford, have been ordered to pay $950 million to the families of victims in a civil case. The case emerged after the Hallfords allegedly stored 190 decaying bodies and sent grieving families fake ashes, an attorney announced Monday.

Despite the judgment, it is unlikely the amount will be paid, as the Hallfords have faced financial difficulties for years, making the ruling largely symbolic. Andrew Swan, the attorney representing the families, stated that the Hallfords did not acknowledge the civil case or attend any hearings.
Return to Nature Funeral Home is located in Colorado Springs, approximately an hour south of Denver. The Hallfords face criminal charges in separate cases related to the scandal.
Jon Hallford is being represented by the public defender’s office, which has not commented on the case. Carie Hallford’s attorney, Michael Stuzynski, was not immediately available for comment.
