Dubai Royal Sheikha Mahra Requests Divorce via Social Media
Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum takes to Instagram to request a divorce from her husband, Sheikh Mana, in a bold public declaration.
Bollywood Fever: In a surprising turn of events, Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, seemingly asked her husband for a divorce through a bold Instagram post.

Sheikha Mahra, 30, addressed her husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, directly on the social media platform. “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce,” she wrote. She continued, “I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”

The couple’s engagement was announced by the Arabian Royal Agency in March of last year, and Sheikh Mana’s father confirmed it with an official poem. They were married in May 2023, hosting a luxurious reception in Dubai the following month. On her wedding day, Sheikha Mahra wore a stunning white embroidered ballgown by Dubai-based designer Ezra Couture.
The divorce declaration comes just two months after the birth of their daughter. Sheikha Mahra had announced her pregnancy on October 18, 2023, with an ultrasound photo on Instagram, captioned, “Just the three of us.” She celebrated her 30th birthday in February with a pink-themed gender reveal, announcing they were expecting a girl.

Sheikha Mahra announced the birth of their daughter on May 9 with a photo of the baby’s tiny hand and the caption, “✨🤍✨.” On June 4, she shared a selfie of herself and her daughter snuggling, captioned, “Just the two of us.”
Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, 75, also serves as the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
