Jesse Watters Criticizes Kamala Harris, Sparking Controversy with Comments on Presidential Readiness

Fox News host Jesse Watters questions Kamala Harris’ leadership in a controversial monologue, asking if voters should “gamble our country away on a frightened woman.”

Bollywood Fever: Fox News host Jesse Watters stirred controversy on Tuesday during his show Jesse Watters Primetime with remarks questioning Vice President Kamala Harris‘ readiness to lead. Watters’ comments came just hours after he defended himself on The Five over a previous statement about Harris that had drawn criticism, including from his own colleagues.

In his monologue on Primetime, Watters criticized Harris for taking weeks to confirm her first formal, sit-down interview of her presidential campaign. CNN announced that the vice president and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, agreed to an interview with Dana Bash, which is set to air Thursday night.

“It took Kamala 39 days to decide to give an interview to CNN,” Watters said. He pointed out that the interview will be taped, with Bash asking the questions, and Walz sitting beside Harris throughout.

Watters also referenced a report from Axios last month, claiming that Harris was so anxious before an April 2022 dinner event at the home of D.C. news mogul David Bradley that she held a mock dinner with staffers playing the roles of participants.

“We don’t need a president who isn’t prepared to go to a dinner party,” Watters remarked. He contrasted Harris’ approach with former President Donald Trump’s, who he noted did a live town hall on CNN without apparent concern. “Trump doesn’t need to pretend to go to dinner so that he’s ready for dinner,” Watters added.

In a particularly pointed moment, Watters questioned whether voters are willing to “gamble our country away on a frightened woman too insecure to tell us who she is.” He suggested that Harris lacks decisiveness, implying that her leadership style might be a liability if she were elected president.

Earlier on The Five, Watters addressed backlash from a comment he made earlier in the week about generals potentially “having their way with” Harris in the Situation Room. “People are misconstruing my comments to mean something inappropriate,” he clarified. “I wasn’t suggesting anything of a sexual nature. I was expressing my opinion that VP Harris’ current leadership style could be an issue if elected.”

Watters’ remarks have sparked a heated debate, with some criticizing his tone and others defending his right to scrutinize the vice president’s leadership capabilities.
