Jill Martin and Erik Brooks File for Divorce After Two Years of Marriage
“Today” show lifestyle contributor Jill Martin and her husband Erik Brooks have filed for divorce. Martin, now cancer-free, is focusing on her health and new ventures.
Bollywood Fever: Jill Martin, the “Today” show lifestyle contributor, and her husband of two years, Erik Brooks, have filed for divorce, Page Six has learned. The couple, who first got engaged in 2019, filed for divorce in early August and are nearing the completion of the process.
Martin and Brooks, who met on a dating app, have faced a challenging journey in their relationship.
After initially calling off their engagement in 2020 due to the strain of living in separate cities during the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple rekindled their romance in 2021 and eventually tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the New York Public Library.
However, their marriage faced further challenges when Martin was diagnosed with breast cancer just three months before their first wedding anniversary.
Despite undergoing a double mastectomy and chemotherapy, Martin is now cancer-free and focusing on her health and new ventures.

A spokesperson for Martin emphasized that, due to the sensitive nature of the situation and the involvement of families, this will be Martin’s only acknowledgment of the divorce.
As she navigates this difficult time, Martin is concentrating on her well-being, being a supportive daughter, friend, and new aunt.
Martin is set to co-host the third hour of “Today” on Thursday and Friday and will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a significant announcement on October 1. In addition to her work on the show, Martin is excited about launching a new company this month.
“She wants to make sure no other family has to go through what hers did,” her spokesperson said, expressing gratitude for the messages of strength and support Martin has received.
