On Wednesday, August 28, Mitchell set a new Indiana Fever record for the most consecutive 20-point games, scoring a game-high 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting to lead her team to an 84-80 victory against the Connecticut Sun.
This marked Mitchell’s fifth straight 20-point game, a streak that has been pivotal in the Fever’s recent success. Since the mid-season Olympic break, Mitchell has been averaging an impressive 25.6 points per game, helping Indiana to a 4-1 record in their last five outings.
