Eva Evans, a prominent TikTok personality celebrated for her engaging videos depicting life in New York City and as the creator of the web series “Club Rat,” has passed away at the age of 29.

The news was shared by her sister, Lila Joy, in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died,” Joy expressed. “After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be … I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t.”

Evans had gained a following of over 300,000 on TikTok, where she created content that was both humorous and informative, resonating particularly with young adults navigating life in the bustling metropolis. Among her well-received offerings was a video series that humorously recommended New York City neighborhoods to live in based on viewers’ zodiac signs. Her web series, “Club Rat,” showcased the story of an influencer trying to navigate the tumultuous New York dating scene after a very public breakup, as outlined in the series synopsis.

The TikTok community responded with an outpouring of tributes on Sunday, highlighting Evans’ impact and legacy. Notably, actress Julia Fox shared a heartfelt video tribute: “She was a TikTok star and a New York icon. I always saw her like a little sister and I knew she looked up to me,” Fox stated. “She was so young. Still had so much to do in life. But she lived life to the fullest.”
