Dallas Cowboys fans are not too happy with Tom Brady‘s subtle dig at quarterback Dak Prescott.
For those who missed it, Brady went viral on Monday after it was announced that he will make his FOX broadcasting debut in Week 1 during the Cowboys’ battle with the Cleveland Browns.
Aside from the announcement, though, what stood out was what Brady said about Prescott, where he seemingly shaded his lack of success in Dallas.
“Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a huge draw. In this new role, I know the Cowboys, how important they are to this network. They’ve got great story lines, come on. Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through,” Brady shared before saying, “Did that just slip out?”
As mentioned, Cowboys fans did not take too kindly to Tom Brady’s statement and ripped him for it, even reminding him that his last game in the NFL was a loss to Prescott and Dallas.
“Not cool, [Tom Brady] …not cool. Don’t allow the fact that the Cowboys and Dak beating you was the last game you played make you all snippy. You’re the [GOAT]…I won’t dispute it…but don’t be jaded,” a commenter said.
Another one said, “Oh real f**kin funny Tom! How’d your last game in the NFL go?” An X user shared the same sentiment, noting: “Tom Brady’s first game covers the QB that effectively ended what would become his final season.”
A Dallas supporter added, “Dak retired you, Tom.”
Dak Prescott and the Cowboys really don’t need more motivation to start the season with a bang, but Brady’s take will surely add fuel to their fire.
