Allison Langdon responds humorously to accusations of receiving special treatment on a Qantas flight to Fiji. The A Current Affair host clears the air during her appearance on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Bollywood Fever: Allison Langdon has finally addressed the accusations that she received special treatment on a recent Qantas flight to Fiji. The A Current Affair host broke her silence on Friday during an appearance on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show after a TikTok user’s rant claimed that Langdon was given preferential treatment on the flight.
During the radio show, co-host Kyle Sandilands joked about Langdon’s appearance in paparazzi photos, commenting on her unkempt hair. “What you need to do is take your hair person on holidays with you. I noticed they always get you on holidays looking all non-news like,” Kyle teased.
Langdon, 45, laughed off the remark, replying that she doesn’t put the same effort into her appearance when she’s on holiday. When Kyle jokingly asked if she was touring luxury super yachts during her vacation, Langdon quipped, “No. Haven’t you heard; I fly economy to Fiji!”
Her witty response was a pointed reference to the TikTok video that went viral last month, where fellow Qantas passenger Courtney accused Langdon and her family of receiving special treatment on the flight. Courtney alleged that while others were denied alcohol on the plane, Langdon was served wine in front of other passengers, which she deemed unfair.
However, Courtney’s claims were quickly debunked. Photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia showed Langdon, her husband Michael Willesee Jr., and their children at the Qantas business class check-in before their flight. They were also escorted to the gate by Qantas ground staff—a service typically reserved for business or first-class passengers.
In response to the controversy, a Qantas spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that it was “ridiculous to suggest Allison was given any special treatment,” emphasizing that any additional services were in line with what business class passengers would receive.
Langdon’s humorous and light-hearted approach to addressing the situation on-air has further cleared the air, reinforcing that there was no preferential treatment at play during her flight.
