still i will review it later thank for comment
Biggest mistake of your report / result / analysis, which shows All Time Blockbuster : 00
Is “SHOLAY” not “All Time Blockbuster”????
Thanks for pointing it out we have corrected it and review whole report again
I feel that the data taken from Boxoffice (Muvyz) are flawed.
In the list of Blockbusters :
– Deewar (First Blockbuster)
– Sholay (ATBB)
– Amar Akbar Anthony (Blockbuster)
– Parvarish (Blockbuster) -> Adjusted net of 285 crores (Source: Boxoffice india. The Biggest DIWALI Blockbuster of All-time)
– Suhaag (Blockbuster) -> Footfalls above 2+ crores
– Shaan (re-run Blockbuster, but if not taken into account, you could have added this uniqueness about Amitabh Bachchan that no one has. His movies like Desh Premee, Inquilaab were all re-released and those who were average initially became very much successful).
– Naseeb (Blockbuster to ATBB)
– Lawaaris (Blockbuster). I never knew why this movie was put as a Super-Hit. It is in fact a bigger grosser than Naseeb (2nd HGOTY of 1981 and Naseeb 3rd)
– Namak Halal (adjusted net around 300 crores) -> Blockbuster.
– Coolie (Blockbuster to ATBB) -> Indiatoday (estimation of 7 crore footfalls in total)
– Mard (Blockbuster)
– Mohabattein (Blockbuster)
– Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (Blockbuster)
13 confirmed Blockbusters by box-office India and other sources. Still the update is yet not over.
Amit ji has around 45-46 Hits and around 85 successful movies.
Very few people know but Sholay was re-run several times and became HGOTY like in 1982, 1987. His stardom was such that during his peak, he had 7-8 movies running packed houses simultaneously with 5-6 movies in the pipeline. Adding to this the re-runs of older movies and specially Sholay which minted huge numbers in his first two re-releases, one can imagine the scenario it would have been.
Pukar and Mahaan were “Averages”, but were considered as “flops” because of Amitabh’s standards. Shahenshah was a clean Hit, but underperformed as it was supposed to be no less than a Blockbuster. Due to bumper opening, it survived.
Geeraftar was a Super-Hit and 3rd HGOTY in 1985.
This data is little inaccurate. Geraftar was a hit Rajnikant found amazing popularity with Inspector Hussain. Cinema Cinema is half documentary spun as a movie showcasing incomplete films scenes that unused scenes of shelved Amitabh films lost in cans like Shelved Makhan Desai Khuda Gawah and song from shelved first film with Rekha called Ek Tha Chandar Ek Thi Sudha are featured. Pran is main lead as a flop producer attempting to make a hit film. Rest are credits of real life a ties in scenes of incomplete films in real. Movie was full of unseen scenes of unreleased or incomplete films. Kunwara Baap again 1 scene guest appearance. Naseeb, Suhaag and Amar Akbar Anthony were blockbusters. Satte Pe Satta was a superhit.
Thanks for u r time we will verify the data again and correct it thnk you
My post had formating typo errors above so reposting correctly. This data is little inaccurate. Geraftar was a hit Rajnikant found amazing popularity with Inspector Hussain. Cinema Cinema is half documentary spun as a movie showcasing incomplete films scenes. Unused scenes of shelved Amitabh films lost in cans like Shelved Manmohan Desai film Khuda Gawah with Parveen Babi having Amitabh in double role fight scene. Again, a song from shelved first film with Rekha called Ek Tha Chandar Ek Thi Sudha are featured. Pran is main lead as a flop producer attempting to make a hit film. Rest are credits of real life actors in scenes of incomplete films in real from.a galaxy of stars. Movie was full of unseen scenes of unreleased or incomplete films. Kunwara Baap again 1 scene guest appearance. Naseeb, Suhaag and Amar Akbar Anthony were blockbusters. Satte Pe Satta was a superhit. Bombay To Goa was semi hit. Hum was a Super Hit. Movie saw massive black ticket sale in first weekend of release. Kaante is Semi Hit easily. Kasme Vaade is a hit. Yaar Meri Zindagi is incomplete. Movie stuck 24 years in making most delayed film of all time. Saw a DVD release finally. Can’t be considered.
More info on Yaar Meri Zindagi. The shooting for the film started in the year 1971. Amitabh – Shatru’s first film together as strugglers. Sudha Chandran was heroine introduced. It was initially directed by Mukul Dutt, but he left the project in 1976 after having numerous problems and creative differences. Then Ashok Gupta took over the mantle as director in 1993 and completed it within a year, but he too had issues in releasing the film. The film still had many scenes missing and was incomplete as Amitabh was almost 50 then and Shatru almost relegated to character or B-Grade multi starrers top.in same old age. Both had moved on. Film was released in 2008 with bare 20 prints in Maharashtra with no buyers a good 37 years after start. I doubt one can even consider an incomplete film.whete both lead actors vanish, story is changed and extra plots with junior actors added. Still I suppose if released counts as a full film sadly.
Khuda Gawah was one of the top grosser of the year 1992 , musical blockbuster . But mentioned was Average
Jaadoger was a flop, Insanyat was an average , Ajooba was a flop. SHAENSHA was a clean hit.
I don’t understand how come Roti kapda aur Makan n Shahenshah considered to be average movies, both were highest grosser movie of that year, some of the average movies are either hit or super hit movies;i think he is the only actor in india whose flop movies are considered to be hit or above average. He has maximum number of hits, super hits, blockbusters n All time block busters under his belt, even now at age of 78 years produces are signing him,A paisa wasool actor.
