Trump supporters were outraged after “The View” co-host Ana Navarro shared a nude photo of Melania Trump on Instagram in an attempt to defend Vice President Kamala Harris against attacks on her dating history. Navarro, 52, who has described herself as a ‘centrist’ and a vocal critic of former President Trump, defended Harris, who has been targeted with insults and rumors since her candidacy announcement.
Navarro addressed the attacks, which included derogatory comments about Harris’ dating history and her lack of biological children. She criticized Republicans making vile sexual remarks about Harris, calling for a debate on real issues affecting the country.
“Some Republicans are out there on TV and social media making vile sexual remarks about Kamala Harris and wanting to make her dating history an issue,” Navarro said. “This country deserves a debate on real issues, affecting us all. But you want to make this an issue? Bring it on.”
Navarro attached a naked photo of Melania Trump from a January 2000 GQ photoshoot, showing the former first lady lying on a fur rug, wearing diamond jewelry, and handcuffed to a briefcase. She also included an image of the Trumps at a party with known sex traffickers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
“I’ve never seen naked pics of Kamala Harris or her spouse. Kamala never partied with sexual predators,” Navarro continued. “You wanna go low? I’m not leaving one thing unanswered this time. Not a one. I’ll happily go 20,000 leagues under the sea.”
Navarro’s post was in response to attacks on Harris, including allegations from far-right activist Laura Loomer, who accused Harris of being a sex worker for “successful, rich, black men” and performing sexual favors for power.
Many Trump supporters expressed their outrage at Navarro’s post, calling for her to be fired from “The View.” Comments included:
- “You should be FIRED off the view!!!! How dare you post something like this on someone who didn’t say or do anything!!!!! Go after those that are campaigning but SHE’S NOT!!!! How dare you!!! This is the reason this show sucks,” wrote one commenter.
- “Women tearing down other women is a form of self hate. There is no reason outside of envy and hate should another woman open their mouths to tear down another woman,” added another.
- “Can we stop bashing fellow women just for once? Kamala has a pretty impressive history as a prosecutor in California thank goodness!! Mrs. Trump was a fashion model in her early years and I’m sure she took several more pictures worse than this one, but can we stop bashing these two ladies please,” pleaded a third.
Harris has faced numerous attacks recently, including comments from Trump’s VP pick JD Vance, who criticized childless women like Harris, suggesting they have no “direct stake” in the country. Harris supporters pointed out that many U.S. presidents, including George Washington, never had biological children but helped raise their spouse’s children from previous marriages.
Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Republican senator John McCain, warned that Vance’s comments were “activating women across all sides, including my most conservative Trump supporting friends.”
Harris has two stepchildren, Cole and Ella, through her husband Doug Emhoff. Their mother, Kerstin Emhoff, defended Harris, stating that the attacks were “baseless” and praised their blended family. Ella, 25, affectionately refers to Harris as “Momala” and expressed her love for her three parents on Instagram.
