Angel Reese Posts Captivating NYC Selfie with Caitlin Clark and Fellow WNBA Draft Prospects
Hours before the WNBA draft, top prospects visited New York City’s Empire State Building, a momentous occasion as they prepare to enter the league.
Among these prospects was LSU’s Angel Reese, anticipated to be a top 10 pick, who shared a selfie from atop the city’s tallest structure. Included in the photo were notable college basketball figures such as Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, who is expected to be the first pick by the Indiana Fever.
The group also featured Stanford’s Cameron Brink, Tennessee’s Rickea Jackson, UConn’s Aaliyah Edwards, and Syracuse’s Dyaisha Fair, all donning the iconic orange WNBA sweatshirts.

The relationship between Reese and Clark has been a focal point, particularly since their encounter in the 2023 NCAA tournament title game. Although there was some tension during last year’s tournament, both athletes have since confirmed that there were no hard feelings. “Nothing malicious was happening between them,” they clarified.
This season, the athletes showed mutual respect and acknowledged each other’s achievements on social media. For example, Reese celebrated Clark’s milestone of breaking the NCAA Division I women’s basketball scoring record.
The rivalry continued into this year’s NCAA tournament, with Iowa avenging their previous loss to LSU by defeating them in the Elite Eight, though the Hawkeyes fell short in the title game against South Carolina.
