Madison Prewett waited a week to reveal her pregnancy to husband Grant Troutt, sharing the heartwarming surprise with him after his last week of work as a Youth Minister.
Bollywood Fever: Bachelor alum Madison Prewett shared a heartwarming and unexpected surprise with her husband, Grant Troutt, as the couple announced they are expecting their first child together. During the Monday, August 19, episode of Madison’s podcast, Stay True with Madison Prewett Troutt, the couple opened up about the emotional journey leading up to the big reveal.
Madison, 28, and Grant, also 28, had only recently started trying for a baby when Madison discovered she was pregnant. Despite their hopes, the news still came as a surprise to the Texas-based couple, who were married in October 2022. They announced the pregnancy to the world on Instagram on Sunday, August 18.
“We said we don’t wanna put any pressure on it, we don’t know what this journey’s gonna look like,” Madison shared on the podcast, adding that they had seen many friends go through tough times with pregnancy. While they were hopeful, the positive test caught them off guard, especially since they had not been actively trying for very long.
Madison recalled the moment she found out she was pregnant, describing how she was “shaking” with excitement. However, she decided to wait a week before telling Grant, as it was his last week of work as a Youth Minister at Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. During that time, she focused on supporting him and preparing a special way to share the news.
“I got to take that time during the week to just pray and process with Jesus,” Madison explained, noting that she wished she could have told Grant sooner but felt the timing was perfect in the end.
When the moment finally came, Madison presented Grant with a thoughtful gift. “The first thing I see is this wooden frame and it says, ‘We’re having a baby,’” Grant recalled. Alongside the frame was a positive pregnancy test and a pair of baby Jordan shoes, with a matching adult-sized pair for Grant.
“I could not believe what I was seeing,” Grant said, describing it as “one of the most surreal moments of my life.”
Madison first gained fame in Bachelor Nation during Peter Weber’s season in January 2020, where she became the runner-up. However, she ultimately chose to leave the show, as she and Weber did not share the same religious beliefs. Now, as she embarks on this new journey with Grant, fans are eagerly following the couple’s story as they prepare to welcome their first child.
