BollywoodFever: Kyle Clifford, 26, has been charged with the murders of Carol, Louise, and Hannah Hunt, the wife and daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt, following a tragic incident in Bushey, Hertfordshire in July.
Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard that when police arrived at the Hunt family home on July 9, Louise Hunt was discovered tied to a chair and shot dead with a crossbow, alongside her sister, Hannah, who had also been shot with a crossbow. Their mother, Carol Hunt, was found stabbed with multiple injuries.
Prosecutor David Burns detailed the horrific scene: “Officers found Hannah Hunt lying near the doorway, shot in the chest with a crossbow. Inside, they found Louise Hunt tied to a chair and also shot with a crossbow. Carol Hunt had been stabbed and suffered multiple injuries.”

Clifford, 26, was remanded in custody and will appear at the Royal Courts of Justice to face charges for the murders. Lisa Ramsarran, chief crown prosecutor for CPS Thames and Chiltern, stated: “Our thoughts remain with the Hunt family and all those affected by this tragic incident.”

John Hunt was reportedly working for the BBC on the day of the murders and returned home to find his wife and daughters fatally injured. Police were called to the property in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, near Watford, just before 7 p.m.
The following day, Clifford was found wounded in Lavender Hill Cemetery in Enfield and was taken to a trauma center for treatment. Police confirmed that no shots were fired during Clifford’s capture.

In a statement, John Hunt and his surviving daughter Amy expressed their devastation: “The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words.

We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received in recent days.”
At a vigil held in July, Lea Holloway, a childhood friend of Carol Hunt, paid tribute, saying, “She was the nicest, kindest, sweetest person you could ever meet.
A beautiful person.” Holloway added that the tragedy was “the stuff of nightmares,” offering her condolences to John Hunt and the family.
