BollywoodFever: Lisa, the global superstar from BLACKPINK, has released her highly anticipated solo single Moonlit Floor, blending K-pop energy with ’90s pop nostalgia. The track debuted on October 3 and was performed live at the Global Citizen Festival. According to Billboard, Moonlit Floor pays homage to Kiss Me, the iconic 1998 track by Sixpence None the Richer, which remains a fan favorite 26 years later.
Released through Loud Co./RCA Records, the song credits Lisa as the lead performer. The track was co-written by singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, Ryan Williamson (aka Rykeyz), and Matt Slocum of Sixpence None the Richer, who penned Kiss Me. Rykeyz also took on production duties, enhancing the song’s nostalgic yet modern vibe.
This release coincides with Sixpence None the Richer’s upcoming tour in support of their new EP Rosemary Hill, which dropped on October 4 on streaming platforms and is available in both CD and vinyl formats.
