After facing the Buccaneers, the Denver Broncos will practice at Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, a bonding trip inspired by head coach Sean Payton’s time with the Saints.
BollywoodFever: Following their road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Denver Broncos will embark on a unique team-bonding trip to Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
The practice getaway, reminiscent of head coach Sean Payton’s days with the New Orleans Saints, is aimed at fostering focus and unity as the Broncos prepare for their Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets.
Payton, who previously brought the Saints to the Greenbrier for three straight seasons starting in 2014, hopes the trip will offer a refreshing environment for his team.
“I think going on trips with your teammates and being able to spend a large amount of time that you’re not normally used to spending is always a fun time,” said quarterback Bo Nix.
Defensive tackle Malcolm Roach echoed this sentiment, expressing excitement about leaving Denver for a fresh setting and sharing that he’ll bring his Amazon Fire Stick to stay entertained.
Cornerback Pat Surtain II revealed he wished he had brought his gaming console but realized it would’ve been too much packing. Instead, Surtain is ready for card games like Spades, Tonk, and Uno with his teammates.
Key Matchup Against the Buccaneers
Before focusing on their West Virginia plans, the Broncos must first handle their matchup against the Buccaneers. Offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi emphasized that the team’s priority is securing a win on Sunday before turning their attention to the trip.
Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers is set to return after suffering a concussion in the previous week’s loss to the Steelers.
However, safety J.L. Skinner (ankle) and outside linebacker Baron Browning (foot) have been ruled out.
For Tampa Bay, key players including Antoine Winfield Jr., Calijah Kancey, and Luke Goedeke will miss the game, with nose tackle Vita Vea listed as doubtful.
