Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expresses satisfaction with Kylian Mbappe’s integration into the team, addressing concerns over the slow start to the LaLiga season ahead of the match against Real Betis.
Bollywood Fever: Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed his satisfaction on Saturday with new signing Kylian Mbappe‘s adaptation to life at the Spanish soccer giants.
Despite a slow start to the LaLiga season, Ancelotti remains confident in his team’s potential and Mbappe’s influence on the pitch.
Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain in June, made an immediate impact by scoring in a 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final three weeks ago.
However, the France captain has yet to find the net in his first three LaLiga appearances. Playing as a center forward alongside left winger Vinicius Jr., Mbappe has missed several scoring opportunities and has struggled to fully integrate with his new teammates.
This has been evident in the disappointing draws against Mallorca and Las Palmas, as well as a lackluster home win over Real Valladolid.
Despite these challenges, Ancelotti is unfazed by Mbappe’s early performances. “Mbappe is playing very well even if he hasn’t scored yet. His influence creates danger.
Him settling in here is not a problem,” Ancelotti stated during a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Real Betis on Sunday.
Ancelotti emphasized that the partnership between Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. is progressing well, and he believes their chemistry will improve with time.
“For me, Vinicius and Mbappe are teaming up well. The offensive work is being done very well. It hasn’t been a problem because we’ve scored goals in every game,” he added. “With time, they will team up better, not just Vini with Mbappe, but Mbappe with the midfielders as well. Offensively we don’t have a problem. We haven’t had it these years, and we’re not going to have it now that we have the best strikers in the world.”
Real Madrid’s slow start to the LaLiga season, which has seen them earn five points from their first three games, has drawn some criticism.
Currently sitting fourth in the standings, Los Blancos are four points behind leaders Barcelona, who have started the season with three consecutive wins. However, Ancelotti remains unfazed by the early setbacks.
“It’s absolutely normal to face criticism because the demands on this team are at their highest. We are going to be criticized until May. This is normal for us,” Ancelotti acknowledged. “We are not happy, but not because we are four points behind Barcelona. It’s because we haven’t played well so far. The season is very long, and that points difference doesn’t mean much.”
Ancelotti revealed that he has addressed the team’s issues with his players and is confident they will improve.
“We are trying to solve our problems. So far, we have not been able to have a compact block, and we have to improve this. I have talked about it with the players, and they agree. When the problem is clear, it is easy to fix it,” he concluded.
As Real Madrid prepares to host Real Betis, Ancelotti’s focus remains on fine-tuning his team’s performance, confident that Mbappe and his teammates will soon hit their stride as the season progresses.
