Celtics Fans Show Kyrie Irving He's Not Welcome with Extreme Antics at NBA Finals Game

Celtics fans made it clear that Kyrie Irving is not welcome in Boston, bringing a blow-up doll with his face and stomping on it after their Game 1 victory in the NBA Finals. The crowd also chanted “Kyrie sucks” during the game, but Irving seemed unfazed by the hostility.

Celtics fans went all out to show Kyrie Irving he’s unwelcome in Boston, even bringing a blow-up doll with the NBA star’s face to Game 1 of the NBA Finals and stomping on it after their victory.

The blow-up doll was seen on the streets of Beantown on Thursday before the first game of the NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics.

The doll was dressed in Irving’s old number 11 Celtics jersey with a cut-out of his face. At one point, fans chanted “F*** Kyrie!” using a loudspeaker.

The doll took such a beating that it didn’t survive the night. After the Celtics won 107-89, a group of supporters stomped it out.

This wasn’t the only display of disdain for Irving. The crowd also chanted “Kyrie sucks” several times during the game at TD Garden.

Irving, however, seemed unbothered by the fans’ reception, saying, “It’s basketball at the end of the day.”

Of course, the 8-time All-Star has been used to trash talk since he left Boston in 2019.

And it doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop anytime soon.
