Bollywood Fever: Charli XCX is set to make a splash in the world of cinema, securing her second live-action film role in I Want Your Sex, the latest project from acclaimed director Gregg Araki.
The pop sensation will star alongside Olivia Wilde and Licorice Pizza breakout star Cooper Hoffman in the film, which is set to begin production this October in Los Angeles.
Co-written by Karley Sciortino and Araki, I Want Your Sex is produced and financed by Black Bear, with Seth Caplan, Araki, and Sciortino also serving as producers.
Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler will produce, while John Friedberg, Joanne Roberts Wiles, and Courtney L. Cunniff are attached as executive producers. Black Bear is managing international rights, with CAA Media Finance handling U.S. distribution.

The film’s synopsis teases a provocative and intense storyline: “When fresh-faced Elliot (Hoffman) lands an exciting job for renowned artist, icon, and provocateur Erika Tracy (Wilde), his fantasies come true as Erika taps him to become her sexual muse.
But Elliot soon finds himself out of his depth as Erika takes him on a journey more profound than he ever could have imagined, into a world of sex, obsession, power, betrayal, and murder.”
Charli XCX, represented by CAA, is making her live-action acting debut in the upcoming remake of the late ’70s horror classic Faces of Death, directed by Daniel Goldhaber (How to Blow Up a Pipeline).
In addition to her burgeoning acting career, Charli XCX has had a standout year in music, releasing her sixth studio album, brat, which has received widespread critical acclaim as one of the best-reviewed albums of the year.
With I Want Your Sex, Charli XCX is set to bring her unique energy and talent to the big screen in a film that promises to push boundaries and captivate audiences.
