China emphasizes stronger ties with Russia through BRICS and SCO platforms, reaffirming strategic cooperation on the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Bollywoodfever: China has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening its strategic relationship with Russia, especially through major international platforms such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). During an event in Beijing celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Chinese State Councilor Shen Yiqin emphasized China’s readiness to enhance multilateral cooperation, particularly within the Global South.

Speaking at the Russian embassy, Shen highlighted the significance of collaboration through BRICS and SCO, stating,
“We are ready to proudly carry the banner of multipolarity, defend international equity and justice, increase cooperation within international platforms, BRICS and SCO in particular, unite the Global South, and contribute to forming a community with a unified course for humanity.”
Shen also underscored the importance of China and Russia’s partnership, emphasizing the role of top-level agreements in driving national revitalization for both countries.
“We will pursue deepening full-scale cooperation with our Russian friends,” she noted, reaffirming the strategic importance of their collaboration.
The event follows a recent exchange of congratulatory messages between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, further solidifying the commitment to stronger bilateral relations between the two nations.
