Bollywood Fever: Christina Sandera, the longtime girlfriend of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, has passed away. The actor-director shared the heartbreaking news in a statement on Thursday evening but did not provide further details on the circumstances of her death.
“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” Eastwood expressed in his statement.
Clint and Christina began dating in 2014 after reportedly meeting at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California—a town where Clint once served as mayor. Christina, a longtime Carmel-by-the-Sea resident, previously worked as a hostess at the historic establishment.

While the couple maintained a notoriously private relationship, Christina made notable public appearances alongside Clint. She attended the 2015 Academy Awards with him, where Clint’s war drama, “American Sniper,” received six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture. She was also present on the red carpets for Clint’s films “Sully” (2016), “The Mule” (2018), and “Richard Jewell” (2019).
Before his relationship with Christina, Clint Eastwood had been married twice: to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1987 and to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2014. He also had long-term relationships with actresses Frances Fisher and Sondra Locke.
Christina Sandera’s passing marks a poignant moment for Clint Eastwood, as he remembers and honors the memory of his beloved companion.
