On September 12, 2024, Ronaldo took to his platforms to celebrate the incredible milestone and express gratitude to his fans.
“We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers!” Ronaldo wrote in a celebratory post. This is more than just a number – it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond. From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together.”
Ronaldo acknowledged the continued support of his fans, adding, “You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve.”
The football star’s followers span across several platforms, with Instagram being his largest audience at over 638 million followers. Facebook follows with over 170 million, and X (formerly Twitter) has a strong 113 million. Additionally, Ronaldo is active on Chinese platforms Weibo and Kuaishou, where he has close to 10 million followers on each.
Just weeks before this milestone, Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel on August 21, 2024, where he has already attracted over 60 million subscribers. Ronaldo humorously stated that he aims to beat YouTuber MrBeast’s subscriber count in the future, although he’s still about 240 million subscribers behind.
As Ronaldo continues to make history both on and off the field, his global influence remains unmatched, and he’s hinted that the best is yet to come for him and his followers.
