Dave Grohl’s daughter sings during a pre-Grammy Event

Violet Grohl (15 years old) performed at a preGrammys event held in Las Vegas on Saturday.

This was days after the Foo Fighters cancelled their Grammys gig due to Taylor Hawkins’ death.

Violet, who performed in 2020 with the surviving members of Nirvana, proved that she is still following her father’s footsteps singing a cover of Joni Mitchel’s “Help Me”, at the MusiCares Person of the year gala.

Violet was joined on the red carpet earlier in the evening by Jordyn Blum her mother and Harper Grohl her 12-year-old brother.

Dave, 53, was mourning the passing of his bandmate and took photos with his trio in all-black ensembles.

As reported previously, Hawkins passed away on March 25, in Bogota (Colombia).

The Foo Fighters long-serving drummer was 50 years of age.

The band announced that they had cancelled their remaining tour dates days later. It was heartbreaking news.

The Foo Fighters released a statement last week saying that they were sorry and shared in the disappointment of not seeing each other as planned.

Let’s instead, grieve, heal, pull our loved ones closer, and appreciate all the music, memories, and sacrifices we have made together.

The Post was also informed by a representative of the band that they were not playing the Grammys on Sundays as originally planned.

Hawkins was found unresponsive in a hotel room before the Foo Fighters’ concert in Colombia last month.

He complained of chest pains and then went to his hotel room by himself. There, he suffered from an enlarged left heart muscle.

Last month, Dave spoke to The Post about the importance and value of his relationship with his bandmates.

“There is something about being on stage with your guys. He said that there was security in this.

“There is something about being in a group that makes it more than me against the world.

It’s us against each other. While I don’t know what being a solo artist is like, I do know what it feels like to be part of a band. It feels good, I have to say.
