David Tepper, owner of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC, and his wife Nicole have donated $3 million to Hurricane Helene relief efforts across the Carolinas, supporting local recovery efforts.
BollywoodFever: David Tepper, alongside his wife Nicole, is using his sports teams to aid in rebuilding lives after Hurricane Helene, committing $3 million to relief efforts across the Carolinas. The Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC are also part of the donation initiative, made through the David & Nicole Tepper Foundation.
The funds are set to support both short-term and long-term recovery goals, including food banks, local community foundations, and service agencies, as the region continues to recover under a State of Emergency. The donation aims to provide critical resources to first responders and communities affected by the hurricane.
In a statement, David and Nicole expressed solidarity with those impacted by the storm, emphasizing that the Carolinas are their home too, and they are committed to helping provide essential support.
David Tepper, who purchased the Panthers in 2018 for over $2 billion, has been deeply involved in the community. Charlotte FC, the 30th MLS team awarded to Carolina in 2019, began its first season in 2022. The Teppers, married in 2022, have actively supported the region through various initiatives during their franchise ownership.
Hurricane Helene has wreaked havoc across the Southeast U.S., claiming at least 50 lives. The Teppers’ substantial contribution is a clear demonstration of their commitment to aiding their new home.
