Demi Moore offers a touching update on Bruce Willis’ health, revealing he’s “stable” amid his battle with frontotemporal dementia. Read more about her emotional speech at the Hamptons Film Festival.
BollywoodFever: Demi Moore provided a poignant update on her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, while accepting the Career Achievement in Acting Award at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on October 13.
During her acceptance speech, Moore confirmed that Willis, now 69, remains “stable” as he continues to face the challenges of frontotemporal dementia (FTD), following his earlier diagnosis of aphasia.
Moore, 61, spoke candidly during a live discussion moderated by Alina Cho, emphasizing the importance of accepting the realities of Bruce’s condition. “The disease is what the disease is,” Moore said, urging acceptance. “For where he’s at, he is stable.”
Moore encouraged a mindset focused on meeting loved ones where they are in the present, rather than clinging to the past. “When you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness,” she added.
Moore shared that she recently visited Bruce just two days before the festival, accompanied by her granddaughter Louetta, daughter Rumer’s toddler. She highlighted the importance of treasuring these moments: “Being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it.”
The couple, who share three daughters—Rumer (36), Scout (33), and Tallulah (30)—have remained close, even after their divorce, prioritizing family during Bruce’s health struggles.
Throughout the festival, Moore reflected on her career, reminiscing about iconic roles in films like Ghost, Indecent Proposal, and G.I. Jane. She expressed gratitude for her evolving career, stating, “Thank God I kept getting opportunities to get better.”
