Former world champion Floyd Mayweather faced John Gotti III in a heated rematch exhibition fight in Mexico City, going the full eight rounds in front of a booing crowd.
Bollywood Fever: Former world champion Floyd Mayweather, 47, stepped back into the ring on Saturday night in Mexico City for an exhibition fight against John Gotti III.
The bout, held at Arena Ciudad de Mexico, went the full eight rounds with no judges present to score the match.
This fight was a rematch following a previous encounter between Mayweather and Gotti in Florida last June, which ended in a massive brawl.
In this latest showdown, Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing in 2017 with an undefeated 50-0 record, dominated the match starting from the second round.
At that point, the man known as “Money” requested a change of referee, continuing to control the fight thereafter.

Despite the dominance displayed by Mayweather, the match concluded with the two fighters embracing in the ring, a gesture that contrasted sharply with the reaction from the crowd, who loudly booed the conclusion of the event.
Mayweather, widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers in history, enjoyed a career that spanned 21 years, capturing world titles in five different weight divisions and defeating legendary opponents such as Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, and Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.
Since his official retirement, Mayweather has participated in several high-profile exhibition fights, including matches against three Japanese fighters and social media star Logan Paul.
The rematch with Gotti III adds another chapter to his post-retirement exhibition career, demonstrating that his skills and showmanship continue to draw significant attention from the boxing world and beyond.
