Bollywood Fever: A wife in Baguio City, Philippines, took extreme measures after her husband allegedly mentioned another woman’s name during sex. The unnamed couple was making love at their home last week when the husband reportedly moaned another woman’s name, sparking his wife’s fury.
The enraged wife, 55, waited for her husband to fall asleep before allegedly grabbing a 10-inch knife from the kitchen and severing his penis. Police shared disturbing images showing the severed tip and part of the shaft lying on the mattress with specks of blood.
Neighbors rushed to the screaming man’s aid and took him to the hospital, while Baguio City police officers arrested his wife, who did not attempt to flee the scene.
A spokesman for the Baguio City Police Station stated, “Allegedly, the reason was jealousy because the wife claimed her husband was a womanizer.” Officers recovered the bloody knife and the severed penis from the scene.
Local media reported that doctors attempted to reattach the phallus but were unsuccessful. The wife was detained at the Baguio City Police Station on suspicion of mutilation. Police also released a mugshot of the woman, who appears to be wearing pink Mickey Mouse pajamas.
The wife told police, “My husband was saying his mistress’s name, not mine. I was influenced by alcohol, but I knew what I was doing. He knows that he is also at fault. He shouldn’t try to deny it; he shouldn’t try to lie that he hasn’t done anything wrong. It’s so obvious because I see it.”
She added that she had been trying to charge the man with adultery but lacked the evidence to do so.
The wife will be charged with mutilation, an offense in the Philippines that carries a penalty of 12 to 40 years in prison.
