NBA legend Gary Payton and player Jordan Crawford nearly came to blows in a heated BIG3 game, showcasing intense rivalry and high stakes.
Cincinnati, Bollywoodfever: NBA legend Gary Payton nearly came to blows with Jordan Crawford during a tightly contested BIG3 game. Crawford, a member of the Enemies, delivered an impressive performance against the Bivouac, who are coached by Payton.
Crawford ended the game with 20 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, leading the Enemies to a 50-46 victory in Week 7 of BIG3 action in Cincinnati.
The tension between Crawford and Payton reached a boiling point during the game. The two exchanged vigorous trash talk, and the situation escalated dramatically.

While Crawford was inbounding the ball, Payton stood just inches from him, yelling in his face. Crawford responded by attacking the rim and celebrating his bucket with the “too small” gesture, implying that Bivouac couldn’t guard him.
Payton continued to yell as Crawford walked back up the court.
After Crawford made a 3-pointer, a timeout was called, and he walked straight toward Payton.
The Seattle Supersonics legend clapped his hands directly in Crawford’s face, prompting Crawford—who played 281 career games in the NBA between 2010 and 2018—to shove Payton away before heading to his bench.
Players and referees intervened to prevent the situation from escalating further, and both Payton and Crawford were assessed double technicals for the incident.
Payton, renowned for his trash-talking during his 17-year NBA career, seemed to elevate his game in this high-stakes environment. With both the Enemies and Bivouac holding 6-1 records heading into the BIG3 playoffs, their rivalry is likely to intensify.
The Enemies’ victory secured their first playoff berth in franchise history, while Bivouac suffered their first loss of the season.
Earlier this year, the BIG3 made headlines when founder Ice Cube offered WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark $5 million to play in the league.
Ice Cube confirmed the offer, stating, “Caitlin is a generational athlete who can achieve tremendous success in the BIG3.” Although he assured that any BIG3 involvement wouldn’t affect her WNBA commitments, Clark did not take the offer.
She was selected first overall by the Indiana Fever and quickly made an impact by breaking multiple records and earning an All-Star berth.
