Rumors Suggest Google Pixel Fold Could Hit the US Market in June
Speculations suggest that the Pixel Fold may make its debut at Google I/O, the company’s annual event slated for May 10. The device is said to be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chip and offered in two colors: “carbon” (possibly black or gray) and “porcelain”. WinFuture reports that the Pixel Fold will initially come in a 256GB storage variant, with no information on its price yet. However, it’s rumored to be cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4, which costs $1,800. Leaks suggest that the foldable device could feature a 5.79-inch outer cover display and a 7.69-inch inner display when unfolded.
Aside from the Pixel Fold, Google is also expected to release the Pixel 7A in June, as reported by 9to5Google and WinFuture. The new Pixel phone is said to be available in three colors: “carbon”, “cotton”, and “arctic blue”.

Google has announced that its annual event, Google I/O, will take place on May 10th. The event will provide an in-depth look at the new features in Android 14 and is likely to include the unveiling of several new gadgets. Among the highly anticipated devices are the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Fold, both of which are expected to be released in mid-June, shortly after the I/O event.
According to leaked retail information obtained by WinFuture, the Pixel Fold will be Google’s first foldable smartphone, and it will be powered by the Tensor G2 chip. The device will be available in a 256GB SKU, and it is rumored to arrive in stores alongside the Pixel 8, which will be powered by the G3 chip. The Pixel 7a, which is expected to be released in Carbon, Cotton, and Arctic Blue colors, will also be available in mid-June. It will come with a 128GB SKU and a rumored starting price of 500 euros.
The leaked retail information also suggests that the Pixel 7a may be available in a Jade color, which could be exclusive to accessories. Meanwhile, 9to5Google has confirmed the leaked retail information and reported that first-party cases for the Pixel Fold will be available in Haze Midtone, Porcelain, and Sky colors. Additionally, blue Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds are expected to launch alongside the Pixel 7a.
Overall, the Pixel lineup is shaping up to be busy in 2023, with the Pixel 8 Pro also expected to be teased at the I/O event. With only a few months until the event, there is plenty to look forward to for Google fans.
