Iceland’s new cost-of-living initiative gives £100 daily to customers, providing much-needed financial relief. Learn how to participate and the benefits of Iceland’s Bonus Card.
Bollywood Fever: Iceland, the popular frozen food chain, has introduced a groundbreaking cost-of-living initiative that has customers praising it as “lifesaving.” As part of this new scheme, Iceland is giving away £100 each day to a lucky shopper who spends money at one of its Iceland or Food Warehouse stores.
To participate, customers simply need to scan their Iceland or Food Warehouse Bonus Card when making a purchase. The scheme is inclusive, allowing customers to spend “as little as you want” and still be eligible for the daily £100 giveaway. In addition to the customer prize, the shop assistant who served the winning customer also receives a £50 voucher. Since its recent launch, the initiative has already distributed over £1,000 to fortunate shoppers and is expected to give away around £36,500 each year.

One of the first winners, Claire Peel, a 42-year-old mother of two, expressed her gratitude: “This has come at such a much-needed time. Half term always brings additional spend and this month was already looking tight, but now I can afford to get the food we need.” Another winner, 38-year-old Adam Park, shared similar sentiments: “No matter what people say, there are millions of families like mine still struggling. Schemes like this are just simply lifesaving, and I can’t thank Iceland enough.”
Richard Walker, Executive Chairman of Iceland Foods, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting customers during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. “The cost-of-living crisis isn’t going anywhere, and so we’re committed to finding new ways to help our customers. As well as reducing the price of thousands of products and introducing more £1 value lines than any other supermarket, we’re also giving away £100 every single day.”
To join the Bonus Card scheme and be in with a chance to win, customers need to sign up for a Bonus Card online through the Iceland website. Once registered, they can access their account via the Iceland app and request a physical card if desired. The Bonus Card offers numerous benefits, including 10% off in-store purchases on Tuesdays for those aged 60 or over, exclusive offers, and free delivery on in-store orders over £25 and online orders over £40.
Iceland’s innovative giveaway scheme is not just a marketing strategy but a heartfelt effort to provide meaningful support to customers facing financial challenges. By offering daily prizes and substantial discounts, Iceland is making a significant impact on the lives of many families.
