Mohanlal, the beloved Indian actor, was hospitalized in Kochi due to symptoms of a viral respiratory infection. The actor is recovering well under close supervision.

Bollywood Fever: Indian cinema icon Mohanlal was recently admitted to a hospital in Kochi after experiencing symptoms including high fever, breathing difficulties, and muscle pain. According to an official medical statement, the actor may be suffering from a viral respiratory infection.

Mohanlal has been advised to follow a strict medication schedule and avoid public appearances for at least five days. The news was shared by industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai, who posted the hospital’s official statement regarding the actor’s condition.

The actor’s health reportedly began to decline while he was in Gujarat, where he had just completed the filming of L2: Empuraan and the post-production work for his directorial debut, Barroz. Fortunately, recent updates suggest that Mohanlal is recuperating well under medical supervision.

Barroz, a highly anticipated project, is set to premiere on October 2, aligning with the start of the nine-day Navratri festival. This film marks Mohanlal’s debut as a director, a significant milestone in his illustrious career. Originally scheduled for release on March 28, 2024, the film’s launch was postponed due to delays in post-production.

In addition to his recent health scare, earlier this year, Mohanlal faced a legal challenge when a Malayali writer living in Germany sent a legal notice to him and the Barroz team, alleging copyright infringement. The film’s crew has yet to publicly respond to these allegations.

As Mohanlal continues to recover, his fans, affectionately known as “Lalettan,” are eagerly awaiting his return to full health and the release of his much-anticipated directorial debut.
