Bollywood Fever: The Indiana Fever pulled off a thrilling 104-100 overtime win against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, securing their 19th victory of the season.
Despite being down by 13 points in the third quarter, the Fever made an impressive comeback, led by standout performances from Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark.
Boston tied the game in the final minute of regulation, eventually finishing with a team-high 30 points and 13 rebounds.
Clark added 26 points and 12 assists, continuing her impressive run of form as the Fever have now won eight of their last ten games since the WNBA’s return from the Olympic break.
A controversial moment occurred in the second quarter when NaLyssa Smith was called for a questionable backcourt violation.
Clark, who delivered the pass, and many fans believed the call was incorrect. After the game, Clark expressed her disagreement:
“Whether it was dribbling off the leg, backcourt violation, which was not a backcourt violation. You all saw it. I don’t understand.”
The Fever, now two games above .500, will look to continue their winning streak when they face the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday, September 11, in Indianapolis.
The matchup will feature a reunion between Clark and her former Iowa teammate, Kate Martin.
