Former NFL coach Jason Garrett sparks confusion and criticism after claiming some fans believe Patrick Mahomes “wings it” on the field. Here’s how fans responded.

Bollywood Fever: Former NFL coach and current NBC analyst Jason Garrett is under fire after making peculiar comments about Patrick Mahomes ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

During the NBC pregame discussion, Garrett suggested that some fans have a “misperception” of Mahomes, thinking he plays as a “seat-of-the-pants type guy” who is “kinda winging it out there.”

Garrett, a former NFL Coach of the Year, then defended the Chiefs star, stating that Mahomes’ leadership and generational talent prove he’s far more calculated than some believe. “You can’t play great in the big moments and be a seat-of-the-pants guy,” Garrett argued.

However, fans quickly took to social media to express their confusion over Garrett’s claims. Many pointed out that no one actually views Mahomes as unprepared or reckless during games.

“Who thinks that? Football’s a chess match,” one commenter said, while another added, “Jason Garrett is an idiot. Absolutely no one thinks that.” Other critics chimed in, with one saying, “Jason Garrett sucks,” and another asking, “Who are the people saying that about Patrick Mahomes?”

As of now, Garrett has not responded to the backlash. If he hopes to defend his remarks, he might need to back them up by identifying the supposed fans who believe Mahomes is just “winging it” on the field.
