JD Vance has responded to Jennifer Aniston’s criticism regarding his past comments about “childless cat ladies” running the country. During an appearance on the Megyn Kelly Show on Friday, the Republican vice-presidential candidate addressed Aniston’s mention of his daughter in her criticism.
“That’s disgusting because my daughter is 2 years old,” Vance said, reacting to the “Friends” star’s comments. “And second of all, if she had fertility problems, as I said in that speech, I would try everything I could to try to help her because I believe families and babies are a good thing.”
Aniston, who has been open about her fertility struggles, criticized Vance on social media earlier this week after his 2021 comments resurfaced. In her Instagram stories, she shared a tweet with Vance’s remarks and said, “All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
In 2021, Vance criticized Democratic politicians like Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pete Buttigieg, describing them as “people without children” who were looking to control the “entire future of Democrats.” He questioned the logic of having leaders without a direct stake in the country’s future.

Vance, who is a father to sons Ewan, 6, and Vivek, 4, and daughter Mirabel, 2, shares his children with his wife, Usha.
Aniston, in a 2022 interview with Allure Magazine, detailed her IVF journey, expressing that she tried multiple methods to conceive, including IVF and Chinese teas, during years of media speculation. She reflected on the experience, saying, “I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.” Despite missing the opportunity, Aniston stated she had “zero regrets” and felt “a little relief.”
As of now, Aniston has not responded to Vance’s recent comments about her.
