John Aprea, beloved actor from “The Godfather Part II” and “Full House,” passes away at 83. Aprea died of natural causes, surrounded by family.

Bollywood Fever: John Aprea, the actor best known for his roles in The Godfather Part II and Full House, has passed away at the age of 83. 

Aprea died of natural causes on Monday, August 5, at his Los Angeles home, where he was surrounded by his family, according to his manager Will Levine.

Born on March 4, 1941, in Englewood, New Jersey, Aprea began his acting career with a debut in the 1968 film Bullitt alongside Steve McQueen. 

He later gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Young Tessio in The Godfather Part II (1974), a role that became one of his most memorable performances.

Interestingly, Aprea had originally auditioned for the role of Michael Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 film The Godfather.

In addition to his film work, Aprea had a recurring role on the popular TV series Full House as Nick Katsopolis, the father of John Stamos’ character, Jesse. He later reprised this role in the reboot Fuller House.

Aprea’s contributions to both film and television have left a lasting legacy, and he will be remembered for his versatile performances across a variety of roles.
