BollywoodFever: A jury has begun deliberating verdicts in the trial of a 17-year-old youth accused of fatally stabbing 16-year-old Harry Pitman in London’s Primrose Hill on New Year’s Eve.
The stabbing occurred as the two teens waited to watch fireworks over the River Thames from the popular viewing point in north London, according to testimony at the Old Bailey.
The defendant, who was 16 at the time of the incident and cannot be named for legal reasons, has denied charges of murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The court heard that Harry Pitman was fatally stabbed in the neck during the altercation.
On Friday, Mr. Justice Cavanagh summarized the evidence before sending the jury out to deliberate the verdicts at 3:02 p.m.
