Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been confirmed as the father of a baby girl with Andrea Galea. Learn about the legal developments and personal dynamics involved.
Bollywood Fever: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has been confirmed as the father of a baby girl, according to a family court order issued in New Jersey. The order, signed by Judge Aldo J. Russo on June 26 and obtained by DailyMail.com, establishes an ‘interim child support obligation’ between Jefferson and the child’s mother, Andrea Galea. The specifics of the arrangement remain undisclosed, but both parties are required to attend private mediation.

Galea, who accused Jefferson of pressuring her to abort the child after she became pregnant in 2023, decided to keep the baby and gave birth to Stella in December. Both Jefferson and Galea had requested paternity testing in their counterclaims filed in January, with Galea also seeking financial support and healthcare coverage. Jefferson, who has signed a four-year, $140 million deal with the Vikings, including $100 million guaranteed, did not comment on the accusation at the time.
Judge Russo’s order also set guidelines for the parents’ interactions and visitation. It allowed Jefferson to have FaceTime conversations with his daughter during a recent trip to Italy by Galea and Stella, and denied Jefferson’s request to prevent the trip. The judge ruled that Jefferson had not met the burden of proof to establish immediate and irreparable harm.

Galea is a University of Miami Law School graduate who previously attended LSU with Jefferson. The two had a romantic relationship starting in 2019, which rekindled in April 2023, leading to Stella’s conception. Despite the initial pressures and disputes, the court requires both parents to communicate civilly about their daughter’s well-being.
In his filing, Jefferson demanded an injunction to prevent Galea from sharing information about Stella on social media. While Galea remains active on social media, her Instagram page has not featured a photo of Stella since May 5.
The legal dispute includes text messages from 2023 between Jefferson and Galea discussing the pregnancy. Jefferson expressed a desire for Galea to take Plan B and mentioned his regret over the situation. Galea explained that the Plan B pill was ineffective due to timing. Jefferson also allegedly pressured Galea for an abortion, which she refused, leading to strained communications.
Despite their tumultuous relationship, Galea noted in her filing that Jefferson had stayed at her mother’s home during their college days, indicating a once-close bond. Galea, a former swimmer with the LSU Tigers, graduated with honors from Miami Law in 2023 and is starting her legal career while caring for Stella with her mother’s support.
Jefferson, meanwhile, continues to make headlines both on and off the field. He is a key player for the Vikings and a star of Netflix’s NFL reality series, “Receiver.” His remarkable performance has made him a favorite for the NL Rookie of the Year, further highlighting his impact in professional football.
