Soorarai Pottru is an upcoming 2020 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga, under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment.
The film is based on events during the life of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath.
The film was expected to be released on August 15, 2020, coinciding on Independence Day.
The makers of the film announced that the film will be dubbed in Kannada.
The film was scheduled to release on 9 April 2020, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an online interaction with his fans, Suriya said that he is eagerly waiting to catch the film on big screens.
