During the downtime for his Elden Ring stream, Kai Cenat keeps his camera on while he sleeps, committed to fully beating the game in one broadcast. This dedication has resulted in him having the most viewers on Twitch, even while he’s fast asleep.
Kai Cenat’s Elden Ring streams have significantly revived interest in the game, inspiring other creators like RDC World to try it out after watching him. Despite needing to rest, Kai hasn’t been turning off his stream. Instead, he sleeps on camera, and although his viewership drops slightly from his usual 100k or more, he still attracts a substantial audience.

So many viewers tune in that Kai Cenat remains the king of Twitch, even in his sleep. At the time of writing, he has 45k viewers, putting him ahead of any other streamer on Twitch, including ongoing esports events and tournaments.
While major esports events like MSI 2024 have occasionally surpassed Kai Cenat’s stream in viewership over the past few days, he has spent hours as the most-viewed streamer on Twitch while asleep. He needs the rest too, as the latest boss he’s been battling, Malenia, has been particularly challenging.
This level of viewership places him above esports events in games like DOTA 2 and Rainbow 6 Siege, meaning his sleep stream draws more viewers than fully-funded broadcasts and productions with support staff. When he wakes up and resumes tackling the game’s hardest bosses, his viewership is likely to double.
Kai Cenat’s Elden Ring playthrough has given the highly-esteemed game a second wind, just in time for the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. However, he still has several tough bosses to defeat if he wants to complete the base game before the DLC release.
