Kesha opens up about reclaiming her happiness and independence in her upcoming album after years of legal battles. The pop star is ready to make major changes in the music industry.
BollywoodFever: After nearly a decade of legal battles with producer Dr. Luke, Kesha is ready to reclaim her joy and happiness.
In an interview with ELLE, the 37-year-old pop star opened up about how her upcoming sixth studio album reflects her journey of fighting for her personal and professional freedom. Known for her carefree persona, Kesha revealed that her new music will channel the joyful spirit that was overshadowed by years of turmoil.
“My soul needs this album. I need to reclaim my joy. Because I fought so f***ing long and hard for it,” she said.
Kesha has also founded her own label, Kesha Records, and is determined to make significant changes in the music industry. “The music industry should be f**ing terrified of me,” she declared. “I’m about to make some major moves and shift this s**,” aiming to dismantle harmful systems so no other artist has to endure what she faced.
Her latest single, Joyride, is the first release as an independent artist, signaling a new era for Kesha as she works to create a better industry for future generations.
In a previous interview with Forbes, she emphasized, “It’s really f***ed up that in this country, you can lose the rights to your voice, but you will never lose the rights to your truth.“
