Clara Berry, the French model, and KJ Apa, known for his role on “Riverdale,” have decided to part ways after almost four years of being together.
Berry confirmed the breakup in a TikTok video on February 25, responding to a fan’s inquiry about her relationship status with Apa.
Through a translation from French, she indicated her newfound happiness post-split.
Berry, who shares a 2-year-old son, Sasha Vai Keneti Apa, with the actor, expressed her belief in the benefits of separated parents being happier and more authentic versions of themselves than remaining in an unsatisfactory relationship.
Despite the positive aspects of their separation, she shared the difficulties of co-parenting, particularly not being with her son half of the time and missing out on parts of his life.
The model revealed that their son is adjusting well to the changes, maintaining a happy demeanor. While Berry acknowledged her own happiness post-breakup, she preferred not to delve further into the details of their separation.
Despite their split, the ex-couple appeared amicable, sharing a hug at Paris Fashion Week on March 5. Berry concluded her update by stating, “I am free.”
The pair initially made their relationship public in August 2020 and announced they were expecting their first child together the following year. Throughout their relationship, they remained relatively private, though Apa occasionally shared heartfelt messages for Berry, celebrating her as his best friend and mother of their child.
