Kyle Richards Defends Estranged Husband’s $90K Porsche Gift to Daughter
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards supports estranged husband Mauricio Umansky’s decision to gift their daughter Portia a $90,000 Porsche for her 16th birthday. Read more about the family’s dynamics and Richards’ reaction.
United States, Bollywood Fever: Kyle Richards fully supports her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky’s decision to buy their 16-year-old daughter, Portia, a $90,000 Porsche.
While out and about in Los Angeles on Friday, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 55, told TMZ that her youngest daughter “deserves” the Porsche, which she and Umansky gifted her as her first car.

Richards defended the pricey purchase, noting that the car “wasn’t as expensive” as reported but she “understands” the criticism she and Umansky received. Pricing aside, she emphasized that Portia is “a very good driver,” adding, “She’s a straight A student. She’s a good kid.”
When asked if she thinks Portia deserves the luxury vehicle, Richards answered, “I think so.” She also referred to Umansky, 53, as her “husband” during the interview, clarifying that buying the car was his idea. “He works very hard and you can talk to him about [the car],” she said. “That was his purchase.”
Umansky wasn’t present for Richards’ impromptu interview as the “Halloween” actress was only joined by a friend.
Seeing the entire family together again was somewhat of a surprise, given Richards recently revealed that her estranged husband moved out of their marital home in May — nine months after the pair announced their split following 27 years of marriage. The realtor has since moved into a West Hollywood bachelor pad.

“I always knew when that day came it would feel strange, very real all of a sudden,” Richards said at the time. “And that’s exactly what happened. I’m a mom of four, I have a busy household.”
Recalling the day Umansky moved out, she said, “The day that he moved out was just strange because I came home and I’m like, ‘Everything’s so quiet.’ I was like, ‘Where is everybody?’”
Umansky moved his belongings out of their marital home while Richards was “out of town” for the weekend, which she admitted was “the smart thing to do.” “I didn’t want to be there to see that,” she added.
Despite their separation, it appears Richards and Umansky are maintaining a supportive co-parenting relationship for the sake of their children.
