Army veteran Jason Kendall is charged with the murder of Larissa Garcia during a $2,000 hotel session in Las Vegas. Garcia, a mother of two, was strangled and killed at the Palms Resort.
Las Vegas, Bollywood Fever: Larissa Garcia, a 30-year-old mother, was murdered on June 12 during a $2,000 hotel session with Army veteran Jason Kendall at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas. Kendall, 35, turned himself in to authorities on June 28.
According to a police report obtained by 8NewsNow, Kendall claimed Garcia requested additional payment, causing him to “snap.” He confessed to hitting her and choking her for ten minutes before having sex with her. Afterward, he dragged her away from the door and left, later calling the police to report an overdose.
Kendall is now in custody without bail, facing charges of open murder, sexual assault, and battery. An anonymous 911 call reported an overdose in the hotel room, prompting security to find Garcia on the floor with a cut on her jaw.
Paramedics initially believed Garcia was overdosing, but doctors at Spring Valley Hospital found no alcohol or drugs in her system. Instead, her injuries suggested she was a victim of battery. “Upon further inspection… it looks like she was assaulted,” a nurse told the dispatcher.
Garcia was declared brain dead and died a week later. Police linked the room reservation to Kendall, who refused to provide information without an attorney. A nurse specializing in sexual assault trauma later confirmed Garcia had been strangled and possibly suffocated.
Surveillance footage from the Palms showed Kendall meeting Garcia in the lobby around 4 p.m. and leaving alone an hour later. Detectives found messages between Kendall and Garcia and evidence of Kendall viewing Garcia’s escort advertisement.
Garcia’s friends described her as “a bright light in all of our lives, full of love and laughter.” A GoFundMe campaign was organized to give Garcia a dignified farewell. Kendall, an Army veteran, made his first court appearance on Saturday and was ordered to be held without bail until his next appearance on Tuesday.
Garcia’s mother, Kristie Pike, shared photos of her daughter as a baby and toddler, receiving an outpouring of love and support in the comments.
