Three people were injured by a lightning strike at Pierson Green near TPC River Highlands during the Travelers Championship. Two were hospitalized, and one refused treatment.
Bollywood Fever: Three people were injured when lightning struck a tree on Pierson Green, a neighborhood located on the grounds of TPC River Highlands, where the Travelers Championship is being played.
According to Cromwell Fire Chief Jason Brade, the strike happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the area of 6 Pierson Green.
Police, fire, and EMS responded to the scene and located three patients. Two patients were treated by EMS at the scene and then taken to area hospitals for further treatment. The third person refused treatment.
