Lindsay Shiver, accused of conspiring to kill her estranged husband, now alleges her new boyfriend attempted to suffocate her, adding to the unfolding drama surrounding the former beauty queen.
Bollywood Fever: Former beauty queen Lindsay Shiver, who is already facing charges for allegedly conspiring to murder her estranged husband, ex-NFL player Robert Shiver, has now accused her new boyfriend, Dorsey Ryan Love, of trying to suffocate her with a pillow.
The 35-year-old Love was arrested in Dothan, Alabama, on July 31 and charged with strangulation after Shiver claimed he threw her onto a bed, choked her, and attempted to suffocate her during an altercation on July 25.
Shiver, 37, had been in the Bahamas following her arrest last July, where she and her then-boyfriend, Terrance Adrien Bethel, 28, were accused of plotting to kill Robert Shiver with the help of alleged hitman Faron Newbold, 29.
The murder plot reportedly involved detailed discussions on WhatsApp, including Shiver sending a photo of Robert to Newbold with the instruction, “kill him.”
After her arrest, Shiver was allowed to return to the U.S. in December to be with her three children, under conditions that included staying within Alabama and wearing an electronic monitor.
Upon her return, she began a relationship with Love, but that relationship allegedly turned violent. Shiver has since filed a protection order against Love, detailing the alleged attack and claiming previous abuse during a holiday in Tampa, Florida.
Shiver’s initial charges stem from a plot that was uncovered by chance when Bahamian authorities investigated a break-in at a local bar where Bethel worked.
The investigation revealed incriminating messages on Bethel’s phone, leading to the arrests of Shiver, Bethel, and Newbold.
Robert Shiver, who has moved on and is now dating reality star Savannah Chrisley, claimed that his marriage to Lindsay had already disintegrated due to her infidelity and poor choices.
He cited her affair with Bethel and other incidents as reasons for their split, which led to a heated legal battle over their children and property.
Lindsay Shiver’s case continues to unfold as she now deals with both the ongoing murder plot investigation and the recent accusations of domestic violence against her by Love.
The former beauty queen’s legal troubles have thrust her into the spotlight, with the next court date scheduled for October.
