Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp avoids IR designation after suffering a high ankle sprain. Learn the latest updates on Kupp’s injury and potential return timeline.
BollywoodFever: The past few weeks have been challenging for the Los Angeles Rams, as two of their key offensive weapons have been sidelined with injuries.
Before the season even began, second-year wide receiver Puka Nacua suffered a PCL injury, which is expected to keep him out for 5-7 weeks, landing him on the Injured Reserve (IR).
Adding to the team’s struggles, star wide receiver Cooper Kupp sustained a high ankle sprain in Week 2, leaving his status uncertain for the near future.

However, there’s a glimmer of hope for the Rams. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the team has decided not to place Kupp on the IR, indicating optimism that he could return sooner than expected.
If Kupp were placed on IR, he would be required to miss at least four weeks, but the Rams are hopeful he will be back on the field before that time frame.
Kupp’s injury is particularly concerning given his recent history.
After undergoing surgery for a similar injury that caused him to miss most of the 2022 season, fans are understandably cautious.
Despite his injury troubles, Kupp’s 2023 season started with a promising performance.
In a Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions, Kupp caught 14 of his 21 targets, racking up 110 yards and a touchdown, demonstrating the All-Pro form he’s known for.
While Kupp may be out for the next few weeks, the Rams are encouraged by the prospect of his timely return, offering some much-needed positivity for the team.
