Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan” experiences a substantial uptick in box office earnings, nearly doubling its collections on Day 3 and aiming for a robust extended weekend total, fueled by positive audience reception and lack of competition.
The Ajay Devgn-led film “Maidaan” is making a strong comeback at the box office, witnessing an impressive nearly 100% increase in collections on its third day compared to the second day.
Early estimates suggest that “Maidaan” raked in between Rs. 6 to 6.50 crores on Day 3, bringing its total earnings to approximately Rs. 16.50 crores.
The movie had a promising start with Rs. 7.25 crores (including paid previews) on its opening day, followed by a dip to Rs. 3 crores on Friday.
However, it rebounded with Rs. 6.25 crores on Saturday. The film is performing particularly well in urban centers and is anticipated to experience another surge on Sunday, potentially pushing the extended weekend total to Rs. 24 crores.
Maidaan” has been receiving positive feedback from audiences, which could bode well for its continued performance at the box office.
With no significant competition currently in theaters, “Maidaan” has a clear path to potentially achieve respectable figures over the long term.
The film’s strong showing reflects its resilience, and it aims to ultimately surpass the box office collections of its contemporaries such as “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
